KP Womens Rugby Storms Into National Games Semis
KP womens rugby secured a commanding semi-final berth at the 35th National Games in Karachi after a dominant performance in Nazimabad under the supervision of the Pakistan Rugby Federation. The KP side outclassed Islamabad from the first whistle, combining sharp technique and quick ball movement to control large periods of the match.
The players impressed with their speed, tackling and disciplined defensive coordination, allowing Islamabad little opportunity to mount a comeback. Relentless pressure and well-drilled patterns of play translated into a decisive scoreline that reflected the team’s preparation and determination on the field.
Officials from the KP Rugby Association warmly praised the squad after the victory. Muhammad Umair, Secretary of the association, along with Team Manager Muhammad Hamza Tariq, Coach Jameel Shah and Assistant Coach Osama Saif lauded the players for a performance that brought pride to the province and urged them to carry that same intensity into the semi-final.
The match was also attended by KP Sports Department Director General Tashfeen Haider and RSO Peshawar Kashif Farhan, who commended the team’s hard work and teamwork.
