FG/Din and Diamond Paints Advance in Corps Commander Polo
Diamond Paints sealed their place in the subsidiary final after two strong wins at Jinnah Polo Fields during the 13th Corps Commander Polo Cup 2025, sponsored by Newage Cables. Under the American system they first outclassed Team Balochistan 3–1 in a two-chukker clash and then followed up with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Team BN to confirm qualification.
FG/Din Polo produced a dominant 8–3 performance against Master Paints to join Diamond Paints in the subsidiary final. Sheikh Muhammad Raffay led FG/Din with four goals, Juan Cruz Greguoli added two, while Agha Musa Ali Khan and Sheikh Muhammad Farhad scored one each. Master Paints replied through Farooq Amin Sufi, Ahmed Ali Tiwana and Col (R) Omer Minhas. FG/Din began with blistering intensity, striking four consecutive goals to open a 4–0 lead in the opening chukka, added two in the second to move 6–0 ahead, and netted a further brace in the third as Master Paints pulled one back to make it 8–1. Master Paints showed late resilience with two well-crafted goals in the final chukka, but FG/Din closed out an emphatic 8–3 win.
A large turnout of families and polo supporters watched the action at Jinnah Polo Fields in Lahore, with Club Secretary Major (R) Adil Sultan Rao and several prominent players present. The results set up a compelling subsidiary final at the Corps Commander Polo tournament, with both Diamond Paints and FG/Din looking to build on their momentum as the event progresses.
