Quds Eye Center Expands Free Care in Rawalpindi

The Quds Eye Center in Rawalpindi, run by the Central Muslim League’s service wing, reported a strong six-month outreach that positioned the facility as a key provider of free eye care amid rising living costs. Between July and December the centre delivered free checkups to 4,020 patients, carried out 366 successful eye surgeries, dispensed free medicines to 1,470 patients and provided 876 pairs of glasses to those in need.

Secretary General Engineer Mobeen Siddiqui described the Quds Eye Center as a beacon for underprivileged and overlooked communities facing inflation and unaffordable private health services. He emphasized that the party’s work in Rawalpindi prioritizes practical welfare over political power and pledged that the Central Muslim League will continue to support and expand medical relief programs.

Local residents attending a meeting at the centre praised the free services, with patients saying the Quds Eye Center restored sight to many who could not otherwise afford treatment. Citizens highlighted the contrast with expensive private hospitals and commended the centre’s staff and volunteers for their dedication and compassionate care.

Chairman Irfan ul Haq of the service wing provided a detailed briefing on operations, applauding the doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers for their round-the-clock efforts. The meeting concluded with a commitment to broaden the Quds Eye Center’s reach so that more deserving residents of Rawalpindi can access quality, no-cost eye treatment.
