Iran Envoy Urges Pakistani Media to Verify Claims

The Iran envoy to Pakistan has dismissed recent allegations targeting the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran as deliberate disinformation, calling the reports fake and fabricated and urging caution among media professionals.

In a stern rebuttal, the ambassador said these absurd claims form part of a propaganda campaign by an enemy attempting to cover up its failures after the 12-day war, when it failed to prevail on the battlefield against brave Iranian soldiers and commanders.

The statement paid tribute to those Iranian servicemen who stood resolutely on national soil, resisted aggression with honour and, in many cases, sacrificed their lives. The envoy emphasised that such sacrifices underscore the gravity of the misinformation being spread.

The Iran envoy reaffirmed that the wise and steadfast Leader of Iran serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and remains shoulder to shoulder with the people and the nation’s security forces. He stressed that attempts to tarnish that leadership through false narratives are unacceptable.

Addressing Pakistani media outlets and professionals directly, the ambassador urged reliance on credible, verified sources and called for rigorous fact-checking in an era increasingly polluted by digital terrorism, misinformation and ethical lapses. He said such journalistic responsibility is essential to preserving the credibility and standing of Pakistani journalism.
