Advancing AI Training for Pakistan Civil Servants
The Civil Services Academy has added the Artificial Intelligence 101 module to its core curriculum, signaling a government push to equip future civil servants with practical skills for emerging technologies. This AI training initiative, led by the Ministry of IT & Telecom, aims to foster informed decision-making and responsible technology adoption across the public sector.
Anchored in the Digital Nation Pakistan Act and aligned with the National AI Policy, the new module strengthens digital governance by building human capacity and institutional readiness. Embedding AI training in CSA coursework creates a foundation for consistent, capability-driven reform across government institutions.
The curriculum emphasises the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, ensuring civil servants understand risks, data governance and accountability while leveraging technology to improve efficiency and service delivery. By focusing on practical application, the programme seeks measurable public value from digital investments.
Through sustained investment in training and policy alignment, the Ministry of IT & Telecom intends to make AI training a permanent pillar of public sector capacity building, helping Pakistan accelerate its digital transformation while upholding public trust and institutional resilience.
