Ensuring Transparent Exams in Rawalpindi Board
The Matric first annual examinations 2026 are proceeding peacefully under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat as authorities focus on delivering transparent exams across the region.
Commissioner and Chairman of the Rawalpindi Board, Engineer Aamir Khattak, reiterated that examination SOPs will be enforced without compromise and that any violation will invite strict disciplinary measures. A dedicated command and control room is maintaining continuous online monitoring of exam centres to support the board’s zero tolerance stance.
During an inspection, Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan visited Government High School Ghora Gali in Murree and apprehended three candidates in the act of cheating. Cases have been registered and forwarded to the disciplinary branch, underscoring immediate action against malpractice.
The Rawalpindi Board has emphasized persistent operations against cheating networks to ensure merit and public confidence in the assessment process. Efforts to strengthen surveillance, enforce SOPs and act decisively on violations reflect the board’s commitment to transparent exams for all candidates.
