AMMAN, Jordan, Aug 5, 2026: Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr Ahmed Attaf, held a bilateral meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Muhammad Ishaq Dar, in the Jordanian capital on Wednesday.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting titled “In Support of Jerusalem and its Holy Sites” of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to confront illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem.
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers reviewed the state of Algerian-Pakistani relations and agreed to redouble efforts to strengthen cooperation in all fields. They also agreed on the need to activate bilateral cooperation frameworks at the earliest.
The two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, with particular focus on the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Gaza Strip.
They also discussed Pakistan’s mediation efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the Middle East.
