Zahid Akram Durrani announces Ziad Akram Durrani Memorial Football Tournament 2026 in Bannu
Former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Zahid Akram Khan Durrani, has formally announced the Ziad Akram Khan Durrani Memorial Football Tournament 2026 in Bannu.
The announcement was made during an important meeting in Islamabad, which was attended by Israr Bangash, Jamal Shah and Naseeb ur Rehman. On the occasion, Mr Durrani assured the District Football Association (DFA) Bannu of his complete cooperation and all possible support for the holding of the tournament.
He expressed the resolve that the event would play an important role in promoting football in District Bannu and across Pakistan, providing opportunities to young talent and strengthening positive sports activities.
According to the announcement, the tournament will begin on August 22, 2026, Insha’Allah.
Prominent football teams from across the country will take part in the grand event, which is expected to mark a new chapter for sports in Bannu.
The sponsors include AKD Bannu, OGDCL, Atlas Honda Pakistan Private Limited, SNGPL and the District Administration Bannu.
The announcement was issued by the District Football Association (DFA) Bannu.
