PSN Highway Zone Holds Annual Competitions in Tribute to Dr Afzal Babar

ISLAMABAD (Press Release): The Private Schools Network (Highway Zone) organised its annual co-curricular competitions in a dignified ceremony dedicated to the memory of the late Dr Muhammad Afzal Babar, founder of PSN, on the occasion of his first death anniversary.

Rich tributes were paid to Dr Babar for his valuable educational and social services. Speakers highlighted his contribution to the private education sector and remembered his role in strengthening educational activities through the platform of PSN.

Hundreds of students, both boys and girls, from dozens of schools affiliated with the Highway Zone took part in the event with enthusiasm. The competitions included Husn-e-Qiraat, Hamd, Naat and speech contests, where students displayed their talent and confidence.

In his presidential address, PSN President Maqbool Hussain Dar said co-curricular activities were essential along with academic education for the balanced personality development and self-confidence of children. He appreciated the efforts of the participating students and their teachers.

The ceremony was attended by Central Chairman Sports Committee Akbar Ali, Highway Zone President Mehmood Hussain Rafi, General Secretary Tayyab Shehzad, Vice President Maimoona Shafiq, Information Secretary Adeel Abbasi, as well as principals and teachers from various schools, who encouraged the students.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks and eternal reward of the late Dr Muhammad Afzal Babar. Certificates and encouragement prizes were later distributed among all participating students.
