NAVTTC and APBUMA Partner for Industry-Led Training Initiative

The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the All Pakistan Bedsheet & Upholstery Manufacturers Association (APBUMA) have signed an agreement aimed at providing industry-led training under the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program. The signing event was overseen by the Director General (Planning & Development), with the Director General of SS&C and members of the survey team also in attendance.
This strategic partnership between NAVTTC and APBUMA intends to bridge the gap between industry requirements and vocational education by preparing youth with practical skills directly relevant to the textile and upholstery manufacturing sector. Under the agreement, training programs will be closely aligned with industry needs, enhancing employability and contributing to the national economy.
During the signing ceremony, officials emphasized the importance of industry-led initiatives in equipping Pakistan’s youth with high-demand technical skills. By involving stakeholders directly from the textile sector, such collaborations aim to enhance vocational training standards, improve workforce productivity, and support the growth of local industries.
The presence of senior officials from NAVTTC and APBUMA underscored the strong commitment from both public and private sectors to invest in youth development. Continued collaboration between government bodies and industry associations is expected to lead to sustained improvements in the quality of vocational education and training, ultimately increasing employment opportunities for the youth of Pakistan.
