KP CM Offers Support for Cancer Hospital in Afghanistan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur met with Afghanistan’s Ambassador Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, offering assistance for establishing a cancer hospital in Afghanistan and reiterating support in agriculture, humanitarian aid, and bilateral relations.
The meeting, held in Islamabad, focused extensively on bilateral collaboration, mutual cooperation, and regional stability. Chief Minister Gandapur expressed his government’s readiness to actively support welfare initiatives for the Afghan people, including assistance in setting up a cancer treatment facility. He further assured support and cooperation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the agricultural sector, highlighting the province’s commitment to Afghanistan’s overall development.
Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information, was also present in the discussions. He has been given the responsibility to liaise actively with relevant Afghan authorities to further strengthen practical ties and cooperation between the two sides at the grassroots level.
Acknowledging the deep-rooted historical, cultural, religious, ethnic, and tribal connections between Pakistan and Afghanistan, both leaders agreed to enhance bilateral ties by promoting peace, solidarity, brotherhood, and mutual respect. They emphasized the necessity of jointly confronting external forces harboring negative designs, to ensure a secure, stable, and peaceful future for future generations.
During the conversation, Ambassador Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb expressed gratitude to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for their continued support and care for Afghan refugees. He reaffirmed Afghanistan’s commitment to further strengthening diplomatic and practical cooperation with Pakistan.
Concluding the meeting, Chief Minister Gandapur announced plans to send a special delegation to Afghanistan. This delegation will serve as a bridge aimed at building trust, fostering greater harmony, and promoting understanding between the people of both neighboring countries.
