The Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR) has welcomed home 292 Pakistani agriculture graduates who successfully completed advanced training programs in Shaanxi, China. This marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its agricultural sector and enhance food security through international collaboration.
The returning graduates participated in a comprehensive training initiative that focused on key areas such as irrigation management, seed production, livestock development, modern farming techniques, and post-harvest management. These practical learning experiences are expected to play a crucial role in improving agricultural productivity and efficiency across the country.
The initiative is part of a broader program announced by the Prime Minister of Pakistan during his 2024 visit to China, under which 1,000 Pakistani agriculture graduates are set to receive advanced training in the Chinese agriculture sector. The aim is to equip Pakistan’s young professionals with up-to-date skills and exposure to innovative practices, ultimately supporting the country’s long-term food security and rural development goals.
Officials at MNFSR hailed the return of the first batch of trainees as a proud achievement for Pakistan’s agricultural future, expressing confidence that the new expertise will contribute to transformational advancements in the sector. The success of this collaboration underscores the growing partnership between Pakistan and China in areas critical to national development.
