**Pakistan National Assembly Speaker Condemns Israeli Aggression Against Iran in Meeting with Iranian Counterpart**
Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has strongly condemned recent Israeli actions against Iran, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. His remarks came during a meeting with Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, held on the sidelines of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva.
During their discussion, Speaker Sadiq emphasized the historic and enduring ties between Pakistan and Iran, describing the relationship as one of brotherhood rooted in shared aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity across the region. He underlined the importance of continuous collaboration and mutual respect between the two nations.
Reiterating Pakistan’s condemnation of unprovoked Israeli aggression, Speaker Sadiq praised Iran’s measured response and acknowledged its diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation of the conflict. He stressed Pakistan’s commitment to fostering peace in the Middle East and West Asia, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s longstanding position advocating for the peaceful resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue through dialogue, engagement, and multilateral cooperation.
Both parliamentary leaders recognized the positive role played by their respective legislative bodies in strengthening Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations. They highlighted the significance of the Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Groups in promoting deeper parliamentary and people-to-people ties. The speakers also agreed to pursue enhanced collaboration on regional peace and development initiatives through parliamentary diplomacy.
