Police Martyrs Day Honored in Rawalpindi

A solemn ceremony was held at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial in Rawalpindi to honor the sacrifices of police personnel on Police Martyrs’ Day. The event brought together senior police officials, families of the martyrs, members of the Aman Committee, and a large number of civil society representatives to pay tribute to the officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Senior police officers, including SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar, SP Headquarters, divisional SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs, participated in the ceremony. Families of the martyrs were specially invited to attend. At the memorial, participants lit candles to remember and honor the bravery and dedication of the fallen police officers.
Prayers were offered during the ceremony for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, as well as for peace, security, and stability of the country. The gathering recognized the crucial role police martyrs have played in maintaining peace and pledged to always remember their sacrifices.
City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani praised the martyrs as a source of pride and inspiration for the entire force, emphasizing that their sacrifices would never be forgotten. He described Police Martyrs’ Day as an occasion to pay homage to these heroes and reaffirm support for their families, noting that the Rawalpindi police had lost 122 officers in service of the nation.
SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar called Police Martyrs’ Day an opportunity to renew commitment to the ideals upheld by these officers, crediting their ultimate sacrifices for the peace the country enjoys today. He assured the families that the police would always stand with them and that the bravery of the martyrs would remain a guiding light for future generations.
