Danish Elahi Sets Historic Boston Marathon Record in Shalwar Kameez

Pakistani athlete Danish Elahi, who set a Guinness World Record by completing the Boston Marathon in traditional shalwar kameez with a record time of 3 hours and 26 minutes, was officially recognized for his achievement by Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani. The meeting celebrated Elahi’s unique accomplishment and his efforts to showcase Pakistan’s culture on an international stage.

During the meeting, Secretary Wani presented Elahi with a souvenir, acknowledging the athlete’s dedication and the positive impact he has made on Pakistan’s global image. The official praised Elahi’s commitment to representing the country with pride and applauded his historic run in national attire.

Danish Elahi also took the opportunity to discuss his plans to promote lesser-known sports in Pakistan. He expressed his enthusiasm for supporting newly constructed Padel Tennis Courts at Islamabad College for Girls, highlighting the initiative as a step towards engaging youth and expanding sports opportunities across the country.
