The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Secretariat in Islamabad held a lively ceremony to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. The event brought together senior HEC officials, staff, and their families in a spirited show of patriotism and unity.
On behalf of HEC Chairman Mr. Nadeem Mahbub, Dr. Mazhar Saeed led the proceedings. The ceremony began with the national flag hoisting, followed by a stirring performance of the national anthem, which set an atmosphere of national pride. Attendees of all ages participated, with children joining in the celebration.
A special cake was cut to mark 78 years since Pakistan became an independent nation. The vibrant event highlighted HEC’s commitment to fostering patriotism, national pride, and unity across its community.
