The Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, participated in the APPAC Youth Conference and Scholarship Awards Dinner 2025, an event organized by the Youth Wing of the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee. The gathering celebrated academic excellence among youth and promoted their active participation in civic and political life.
The event drew a large audience consisting of community leaders, students, families, politicians, and members of the media. Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Phil Ramos, attended as a distinguished guest and praised APPAC for its dedication to empowering young individuals from diverse backgrounds.
APPAC annually awards scholarships to outstanding students from various communities, recognizing their academic achievements and encouraging them to excel in education and public service. During the ceremony, Consul General Atozai commended APPAC’s sustained efforts to support student growth. He underscored the importance of youth leadership, stating that young people are future leaders and should actively help shape the social and political landscape of the country. He also highlighted the value of combining academic achievement with civic involvement to create stronger, more inclusive communities.
