Child Online Safety Camp Empowers Young Voices in Pakistan

UNICEF Pakistan, in collaboration with the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC), Telenor Pakistan, Meta, National CERT Pakistan, and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, recently organized a Child Online Safety Camp aimed at empowering adolescents to navigate the digital world safely. The event brought together enthusiastic young participants from the NCRC Child Advisory Panel, the Pakistan Girl Guides Association, and minority communities.

The camp offered a range of interactive sessions, including games, group activities, peer-led discussions, and expert Q&A panels. These activities were designed to help children better understand their rights online, recognize and avoid potential abuse, safeguard their mental health, and learn the proper channels for reporting harassment.

A central focus of the event was to encourage active participation from the children, fostering an environment where their ideas could be heard. Organizers highlighted the children’s innovative suggestions and outspoken commitment to making the internet a safer space for all. UNICEF and its partners emphasized that these young changemakers are playing a key role in shaping a safer digital future for every child in Pakistan.
