Advancing Iran Pakistan Bilateral Relations after Presidential Visit

Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam met with Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the state of relations between Iran and Pakistan, highlighting recent progress and reaffirming a shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation. The meeting focused on building upon the outcomes of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian’s recent visit to Pakistan, with both sides emphasizing the importance of ongoing collaboration.

During the discussions, Ambassador Amiri Moghadam provided Foreign Minister Araghchi with an update on the current status of bilateral ties and detailed steps taken to further strengthen the close relationship between the neighboring countries. Special attention was given to the achievements and agreements reached during President Pezeshkian’s official visit to Pakistan.

Foreign Minister Araghchi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality shown to President Pezeshkian by the government and people of Pakistan. He described the talks with senior Pakistani officials as productive and underscored Iran’s commitment to advancing bilateral relations in line with its policy of fostering good neighborly relations. Araghchi also affirmed Iran’s intention to actively pursue the implementation of agreements made during the presidential visit.

The two officials discussed the importance of Iran and Pakistan’s cooperation in various regional and international forums, noting their shared positions on key issues. Araghchi stressed that continued high-level consultations are essential to protect the interests of both countries and to promote peace, security, and stability throughout the region.
