French Embassy in Pakistan Highlights Economic Opportunities

A meeting in Paris organized by MEDEF International brought together French diplomatic and economic officials and private companies to spotlight Pakistan’s economic potential and to provide a platform for French firms to present projects and express interest in entering the Pakistani market.

The event was attended by Ambassador Nicolas Galey and Laurent Chopiton, head of the Economic Service at the French embassy in Pakistan, who participated in discussions highlighting opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation. Organizers aimed to strengthen commercial ties and inform French businesses about conditions and prospects in Pakistan.

Speakers emphasized Pakistan’s position as the third-largest economy in South Asia, noting its large domestic market and dynamic demographic profile as key drivers of demand and long-term growth. These attributes were presented as factors that make Pakistan an attractive destination for foreign investment across multiple sectors.

Several French companies used the forum to outline their projects and signal interest in expanding into Pakistan. The presentations allowed firms to showcase proposals, explore potential partnerships, and engage directly with embassy economic staff and MEDEF International representatives.

Participants said the meeting reinforced momentum for closer economic engagement between France and Pakistan and created opportunities for follow-up discussions and exploratory visits. The gathering underlined a mutual interest in developing commercial links and exploring concrete investment and trade initiatives.
