PMDC licensing launches in Karachi regional office

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has started PMDC licensing services at its Karachi regional office, introducing a digital system to simplify registration for medical and dental professionals.

Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal inaugurated the new licensing system at the Karachi regional office and underscored that the step is intended to make registration more accessible for graduates, practitioners and specialists across the city.

The digital approach is designed to speed up and secure the registration process so that practitioners no longer need to travel to the Islamabad head office for routine licensing and documentation. All registration services will now be available through the Karachi regional office.

The regional office will also assist applicants who face difficulties filling forms on the online portal, with staff providing direct support to complete submissions and process applications locally.

Officials say PMDC licensing in Karachi will promote greater transparency and efficiency in registration, allowing new graduates and established professionals to finalise their credentials faster and more securely.

Minister Mustafa Kamal highlighted that this move aligns with government efforts to raise the quality of medical education and streamline regulatory processes for the health sector in Pakistan.
