As part of an important regulatory engagement during the Expo, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has announced dedicated interaction sessions with the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. According to an official communication issued by the CEO Secretariat of DRAP, the sessions are intended to promote regulatory awareness, transparency and meaningful engagement with industry stakeholders.
DRAP said the sessions would inform the industry about key regulatory requirements and expectations, while industry representatives would be able to seek clarifications and raise matters of mutual interest through structured discussions. Question-and-answer sessions will also be held after the interaction sessions.
The regulatory sessions will cover key subjects including the responsibilities of pharmaceutical manufacturers under pharmacovigilance rules, common deficiencies in registration applications and regulatory expectations, as well as the regulatory framework and industry preparedness under the Alternative Medicines and Health Products Rules 2026.
DRAP has also asked major organisations of the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and healthcare sectors to encourage participation of their member companies and relevant representatives in these sessions and to share questions and issues of wider industry importance.
According to the authority, continued and constructive engagement with the industry is important for regulatory clarity, improved compliance and effective implementation of regulatory requirements.
Prominent regulatory, industrial and business figures expected to attend the Expo as special guests include DRAP Chief Executive Officer Dr Obaidullah; Managing Director of Bio Labs (Pvt) Ltd, Chairman PPMA North and President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry Usman Shaukat; CEO of Herbiotics Health Care and Founder Chairman of the Nutraceutical Manufacturers Association of Pakistan Muhammad Danish Khan; President Pakistan Pharmacists Association and Deputy Secretary, Department of Health and Population, Government of Punjab, Muhammad Alamgir Rao; and President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry Junaid Altaf.

Local and foreign exhibitors are expected to participate in the two-day exhibition, which will highlight new developments, regulatory priorities and emerging business and investment opportunities in Pakistan’s pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
