Pakistani Students Selected for Türkiye Scholarships Briefed in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, September 30, 2026: The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Islamabad hosted an orientation programme for Pakistani students selected under the Türkiye Scholarships 2026 programme.
The event brought together newly selected scholars, Türkiye Scholarships alumni and representatives of the Embassy ahead of the students’ departure for Türkiye.
Türkiye Scholarships is administered by the Government of the Republic of Türkiye through the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). The programme offers international students opportunities to pursue undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies at leading universities across Türkiye.
In 2026, a total of 112 students from across Pakistan were selected for the scholarship programme. The orientation held in Islamabad was arranged for selected students from the federal capital and nearby areas to help them prepare for their forthcoming academic journey.
The programme began with remarks by H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, who congratulated the successful candidates and welcomed them to the Türkiye Scholarships community.
The Ambassador underlined the significance of educational cooperation and people-to-people contacts between Türkiye and Pakistan. He also encouraged the students to benefit fully from their academic experience in Türkiye.
The President of the Turkish Alumni Association also spoke on the occasion and shared reflections from his own experience. He highlighted the contribution of alumni in promoting the longstanding friendship and educational ties between Türkiye and Pakistan.
Later, the Education Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy delivered an orientation presentation for the selected students. The briefing covered important matters related to their transition from Pakistan to Türkiye, including departure preparations, arrival, integration into university life and key steps for a successful academic experience.
During the session, the selected scholars introduced themselves and shared details of their academic backgrounds, as well as the Turkish universities and programmes where they will continue their studies.
The gathering also provided the students an opportunity to meet one another and connect with members of the Türkiye Scholarships community before leaving for Türkiye.
The Embassy congratulated all successful candidates and extended best wishes for their studies in Türkiye. The students were encouraged to act as ambassadors of the friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye and to play their part in strengthening educational and people-to-people links between the two countries.
The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Islamabad wished all Türkiye Scholarships 2026 scholars success in their studies and future endeavours.
