PMAS-AAUR, Seyrab Water Systems sign accord on water research

RAWALPINDI: Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) and Seyrab Water Systems have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, with a particular focus on water management, groundwater, technological development, research and innovation.

The MoU was signed during a meeting held at the university on August 19, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman. The university’s Registrar, Deans and Directors were also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman underlined the vital importance of water and said joint and coordinated efforts were needed to deal with the current and emerging challenges facing water resources and their management.

He said the agreement would provide an effective platform for joint initiatives in water-related programmes, research and modern technological solutions.

Mr Adnan Faisal, Founder of Seyrab Water Systems, thanked the Vice Chancellor and the university administration for their cooperation and support.

He termed the MoU an important step towards building a useful and result-oriented partnership between the two organisations. He said both sides would work together to explore new opportunities for research, innovation and development, and to promote joint initiatives.
