School Upgradation Collaboration for Education and Economic Growth

A delegation from the Green Crescent Trust and the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) convened a meeting with the Secretary of School Education & Literacy Department (SE&LD) and the Special Consultant to discuss potential areas of mutual collaboration. The discussions focused on upgrading schools, expanding middle tech initiatives, and launching adult literacy and skill development programs aimed at better linking education with economic growth.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of enhancing educational infrastructure to meet evolving industry demands and providing students with practical skills aligned with market requirements. Plans for joint initiatives in middle-tech education and adult training were also discussed as vital steps to address skill gaps and promote lifelong learning within the community.
As part of the collaboration, the SE&LD announced it will sign a Letter of Understanding (LoU) with Green Crescent Trust to formalize the implementation of these initiatives. The agreement is expected to accelerate efforts towards educational reform and workforce development, fostering stronger connections between the education sector and the region’s economic objectives.
