**Pakistan Explores Integrating Esports into Education and Skills Development**
A high-level meeting led by Federal Minister for Education Khalid Maqbool Sidique and MNA Syeda Amnah Batool, the Prime Minister’s Youth Program focal person, examined opportunities to integrate Esports into Pakistan’s education and skills development initiatives. The session brought together key stakeholders from government bodies and international organizations, including the Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education and Professional Training Farah Naz Akbar, representatives from the Commonwealth Secretariat, the British Esports Federation, the PM’s Youth Program, the Higher Education Commission (HEC), NAVTTC, and the Ministry of Education.
Participants discussed how incorporating Esports can enhance educational outcomes and open new pathways for youth skill-building. Drawing on international best practices, particularly from the UK’s experience, the meeting explored the potential for Esports to support both academic and technical training, fostering digital literacy and professional growth among Pakistani youth.
The collaborative dialogue emphasized the importance of modernizing educational approaches to match evolving global trends and discussed strategies for effective implementation. The meeting reflected a growing recognition of Esports as a dynamic tool for youth engagement and national capacity building in Pakistan.
