Patrolling Police Rawalpindi Region Names Acting Regional Officer

**DSP Muhammad Irfan Butt Appointed Acting Regional Officer of Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi**

The Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region has announced that Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Muhammad Irfan Butt has assumed the responsibilities of Acting Regional Officer. He will continue to serve in this capacity until a permanent Regional Officer is appointed.

Under his interim leadership, the Punjab Highway Patrol has intensified its operations, resulting in the arrest of seven proclaimed offenders and five absconders wanted by the courts. Among those apprehended is a high-profile criminal classified in the ‘A’ category for involvement in serious offenses.

In addition to ongoing law enforcement activities, the department has been conducting road safety awareness programs aimed at educating the public. Relief efforts for flood-affected communities across the region are also underway, demonstrating the department’s commitment to both public safety and community support, according to the spokesperson for the Public Relations Department.
