ZTE Launches IT Skills Training for Pakistani Youth

In a significant development for Pakistan’s youth, Chinese technology giant ZTE has announced a landmark partnership with Pakistan aimed at expanding digital skills and fostering a knowledge-based economy. This collaboration was formalized during an official visit by a Pakistani delegation to China, further strengthening the growing ties between the two countries.

As part of this new partnership, ZTE will launch a comprehensive nationwide IT skills training program tailored for young Pakistanis. The initiative is designed to equip the next generation with advanced digital skills, preparing them for future opportunities in the global technology sector and supporting Pakistan’s transformation into a knowledge-driven economy.

Marking a major milestone, ZTE has also announced its decision to establish its eighth global IT Skills Training Center in Pakistan. This center will provide hands-on training in the latest technologies, offering the country’s youth practical experience and exposure to state-of-the-art advancements in the IT industry.

The official celebrations included a special moment for Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, who was honored with the task of cutting the cake for ZTE’s 40th anniversary—recognizing four decades of the company’s global achievements. During the visit, Minister Iqbal was also welcomed as the first international guest to ZTE’s new global headquarters, where he toured the company’s modern exhibition hall and observed their cutting-edge technological products.

This ground-breaking partnership will be formally introduced during an upcoming visit to China by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The initiative not only marks a new chapter in the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China but also aligns with the new phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The focus areas of this cooperation include technology advancement, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, heralding a new digital era for Pakistan.
