Empowering Youth at Westminster Sports Day
At the Islamabad Sports Complex a vibrant Westminster Sports Day brought together students, parents and local dignitaries for a full day of athletic displays and community celebration. The event emphasized the role of schools and extracurricular activity in shaping responsible and confident young citizens.
Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information & Broadcasting, praised the students’ discipline and energy and underlined the connection between sports, education and national stability. Speaking to the gathering of young athletes and families, he declared that “these children will defeat terrorism,” stressing that the values nurtured through sport and learning are central to Pakistan’s future.
Highlighting the achievements of the Westminster Education platform, the Parliamentary Secretary noted that many graduates have earned distinctions and represented Pakistan on international stages. He described such successes as the peaceful and positive face of the country that educators and communities are committed to projecting abroad.
The program featured acrobatic displays, disciplined karate performances and competitive races that showcased teamwork, fitness and personal drive. Organizers said Westminster Sports Day is designed to give students a platform to develop skills that extend beyond the playing field and reinforce positive character.
Emphasizing long-term youth development, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry reaffirmed the government’s and educators’ commitment to provide safe, progressive environments where talent can flourish. He voiced confidence that, with continued focus on education and community support, Pakistan’s next generation will carry the nation forward.
Concluding his remarks, he paid tribute to the sacrifices of the country’s security forces and called on citizens to build upon that foundation through enlightenment and schooling. The event underscored a shared resolve to stand united against threats to peace and to invest in the youth who will shape a brighter, stronger Pakistan.
