Ambassador Zoltan Varga of Hungary visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad and held constructive talks with FPCCI President Atif Akram Sheikh. The delegation included FPCCI Vice President Tariq Jadoon and Capital Office Chairman Kareem Aziz, among others, and discussions focused on expanding bilateral commerce and industrial cooperation.

Both sides explored practical steps to increase trade volume, encourage business delegations and initiate joint projects. President Atif Akram Sheikh urged a greater push into agricultural technology, food processing, pharmaceuticals and IT, while highlighting Pakistan’s investor-friendly environment and one-window facilitation for foreign investors. He pointed to clear opportunities for Hungary in energy, infrastructure and auto parts and invited Hungarian firms to invest across Pakistan’s industrial centres.

Ambassador Varga reiterated Hungary’s interest in deepening economic ties and said Hungarian companies bring expertise in modern agricultural machinery, water management and healthcare technology. He promised active support to boost two-way trade and investment and emphasized that enhanced cooperation will add a new dimension to the Hungary Pakistan trade relationship.

Both delegations agreed to promote B2B meetings and joint business forums to convert discussions into concrete projects. FPCCI officials described the envoy’s visit as a catalyst for stronger commercial links, with practical follow-up actions planned to accelerate trade and investment between the two countries.
