The German Ambassador to Pakistan joined Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, at KPK House to plant a tree as a symbol of Germany’s ongoing support for the Billion Tree Afforestation Support Project. This initiative is focused on restoring and expanding forest cover in the region, while also generating sustainable livelihoods for local communities.
Through the Billion Tree Afforestation Support Project, community-led efforts are at the heart of restoring degraded landscapes and creating economic opportunities. The project has received international recognition for its environmental and social benefits.
The German Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability in Pakistan through this collaborative event. By working together with provincial leadership and community groups, the project aims to strengthen the partnership between Pakistan and Germany, known as Pak-German friendship, and to promote greener, more resilient futures.
