Teacher Interviews Boost Rawalpindi Girls School

Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dheri Hasan Abad in Rawalpindi has taken a significant step to strengthen classroom instruction after the completion of a new, state-of-the-art building funded by the Punjab government and equipped with modern laboratories and facilities. On 4 October 2025 a panel conducted comprehensive teacher interviews to evaluate classroom skills and subject expertise.
The interview panel was chaired by Tariq Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority Rawalpindi. Other members included Syed Hashim Munir, Director Affiliation Federal Board Islamabad; Divisional Directors Anila Hasan and Dr Rani Qaisra; education experts Tahir Nawaz and Mrs Ali from the Federal Board Islamabad; and school council member Naeem.
The Teacher Interviews assessed each teacher’s pedagogical strengths and subject mastery, with the explicit decision to assign teachers to classes in the subjects where they demonstrate full competence. All teaching staff participated in the process to ensure placements align with their professional strengths and to promote consistent learning outcomes for students.
The exercise is intended to ensure that students benefit from instructors who are fully proficient in their disciplines, reinforcing the school’s capacity to deliver quality education. Officials said the move supports broader efforts led by the Ministry for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat and Secretary School Education Department Khalid Nazir Wato to improve education standards across Punjab.
The selection process and the upgraded campus facilities together aim to create an environment where expert teachers can make the best use of modern laboratories and resources, helping to raise academic performance and classroom engagement at the girls school in Dheri Hasan Abad.
