Two men were fatally shot near Shahpur Stop in Rawalpindi after initial reports said they were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. The victims were later identified as Waqas and Khizr, and both succumbed to their injuries.
CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani has taken notice of the incident and directed the SP Sadar to submit a detailed report. The CPO has ordered that the involved suspect or suspects be traced and arrested immediately as part of efforts to resolve this Rawalpindi double murder.
SP Sadar Mohammad Nabeel Khokhar and police personnel arrived at the scene to oversee the investigation and collect evidence. Authorities say preliminary findings point to a prior enmity as a possible motive, but inquiries are ongoing and all leads are being followed.
Forensic teams are conducting postmortems on the bodies while investigators gather witness statements and scene evidence. The Rawalpindi Police spokesperson confirmed that the force will pursue and apprehend those responsible once traced.
