Pakistan Reviews Five Years of Progress in Inclusive Education at ASPIRE Steering Committee Meeting

Islamabad: The Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training chaired the 6th Technical Steering Committee Meeting of the ASPIRE program, a key initiative supported by the World Bank that aims to promote inclusive and responsive education across Pakistan.

The meeting, organized by the Project Coordination Unit, marked a significant milestone by reviewing five years of achievements under the ASPIRE program. Central to the discussions were efforts to reduce the number of out-of-school children and enhance teacher training nationwide, with a special focus on marginalized and underserved communities.

Representatives from all provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), the Pakistan Institute of Education (PIE), and the World Bank took part in the session. Together, they contributed to strategic planning for sustaining and scaling the program’s impact.

The Federal Secretary commended the dedication of the Project Management Unit and all partners, highlighting their role in driving national progress in equity, access, and the quality of education.
