Ambassador Khalil Hashmi recently visited Lanzhou New Area, highlighting the region’s rapid development and growing economic significance. Covering more than 50 square kilometers, Lanzhou New Area contributes around 30 percent of Lanzhou city’s GDP and is home to a diverse range of enterprises demonstrating strong expertise and innovation.
During his tour, Ambassador Hashmi met with several prominent companies. Among them was LS Group, known for manufacturing China’s first oil drilling rig, which showcases the area’s industrial capabilities. He also visited Lanzhou New Area Flower Base, noted for its remarkable economies of scale in floriculture, and Legend Group, a major player in the dairy industry with an extensive product portfolio.
Impressed by the scale and diversity of development, Ambassador Hashmi expressed optimism about exploring new opportunities for cooperation and partnerships. He noted that his visit inspired many ideas to strengthen collaboration in various sectors between the two regions.
