PITB Signs Contracts with CATI Hyderabad for Digital Systems

The Punjab Information Technology Board has signed two contracts with the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI) Hyderabad, under the Pakistan Airport Authority, to modernize administrative and financial operations through digital systems. The agreements introduce a Training & Campus Management System to streamline academic and administrative workflows and PayZen to digitize fee collection, both supported by real-time monitoring and reporting tools.
The Training & Campus Management System will centralize academic records, scheduling, and administrative processes to improve efficiency and accuracy across CATI’s operations. PayZen will enable electronic fee collection through mobile banking, ATMs, and debit and credit cards, while providing real-time dashboards to enhance transparency and financial management.
The contracts were signed by PITB Director Development & Procurement Ata ur Rehman and Deputy Director General Works & Development and Director of CATI, Engineer Sumair Saeed. Senior PITB officials present included DG IT Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi, Additional Director General Syed Qasim Ifzal, Director Shahid Akram Khan, and Joint Directors Syed Ijlal Hussain and Muddasir Paracha. From the Pakistan Airport Authority side, attendees included Headquarters Director Finance M. Saqib Butt, Additional Director IT Arshad Ali, and Joint Director Academics CATI Saima Ikram.
As part of the engagement, the PITB team delivered a detailed presentation on workflow automation and the potential applications of artificial intelligence within the aviation training sector. PITB also committed to providing training and ongoing technical support to CATI staff to ensure secure, smooth implementation and adoption of the new systems.
Officials described the partnership as an important advance in automating institutional processes within Pakistan’s aviation sector. By combining campus management, digital payments, and analytics tools, the initiative aims to increase operational efficiency, financial transparency, and the overall quality of training services at CATI.
