Driving Pakistan Diplomatic Engagements Forward

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a session with Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and senior Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials to review upcoming diplomatic engagements and planned visits.

The minister directed the team to ensure thorough preparation and coordinated follow-ups, stressing that every diplomatic engagement should be backed by clear objectives and actionable plans. Officials were urged to align briefings, logistical arrangements and inter-ministerial coordination so Pakistan’s representatives can pursue concrete outcomes during each visit.

Emphasising the link between diplomacy and national priorities, the session highlighted the need for diplomatic engagements to advance Pakistan’s political standing and economic interests. The leadership called for proactive outreach to host counterparts, timely communication of priorities and sustained engagement after meetings to secure trade, investment and strategic cooperation.

Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and senior MoFA teams were tasked with strengthening coordination mechanisms and ensuring prompt follow-up on commitments, reflecting a focused push to maximise returns from Pakistan’s diplomatic calendar.
