Transforming SLC Attestation with New Online Portal

On April 1, 2026, the Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority introduced a new SLC Attestation portal designed to streamline certification for students and institutions across Islamabad. The portal replaces the manual attestation process that previously required multiple visits and caused delays, allowing applicants to submit requests online, track application status in real time, and receive attested certificates without visiting PEIRA offices.

The launch forms part of PEIRA’s Digital Reforms Initiative, which has already moved services such as school registration and issuance of e-licenses to digital platforms. Chairman ICT-PEIRA Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah described the portal as a key step toward a visitor-free service model that reduces administrative burden while strengthening regulatory compliance through technology.

Dr. Mallah noted that the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the shift to online services and prepared both institutions and citizens to embrace digital tools. He credited the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training for strategic guidance that helped realise these reforms and emphasised alignment with national programmes such as Digital Pakistan and Uraan Pakistan to improve public service delivery.

The SLC Attestation portal is designed for ease of use and transparency, giving parents, students, and private educational institutions in ICT a predictable, accountable process. By centralising requests and enabling status tracking, the system aims to cut turnaround times and lower the cost and inconvenience associated with certificate attestation.

ICT-PEIRA said the portal strengthens its digital ecosystem and reiterated its commitment to further digital initiatives that support private educational institutions and promote quality education across Islamabad. The Authority plans to continue expanding online services to ensure efficient governance and greater accessibility for stakeholders.
