Bahrain Defence Force Chief Visits Pakistan Air Force Headquarters

The Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force, Lieutenant General Thiab Saqer Abdulla Al Nuaimi, visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad, where he met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force. The meeting highlighted the strong military ties between Pakistan and Bahrain and focused on increasing cooperation, particularly through joint training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Upon his arrival, Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi received a ceremonial Guard of Honour from a Pakistan Air Force contingent. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu warmly welcomed the Bahraini delegation, emphasizing the longstanding religious and historic connections between the two nations, which underpin their close defense collaboration.

During discussions, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to deepen bilateral military cooperation, especially in areas like joint training and the exchange of expertise. He noted the importance of both countries’ shared commitment to regional peace, security, and stability, and expressed Pakistan’s appreciation of its diplomatic and defense relations with Bahrain.

Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi praised the professionalism and technological progress of the Pakistan Air Force, highlighting its achievements in indigenization and innovation. He expressed a strong interest in learning from Pakistan’s methodology in multi-domain operations and operational experience, with a view to strengthen the Bahrain Air Force. He also proposed establishing joint training programs for Bahraini pilots and engineers at various levels, demonstrating a keen commitment to enhanced collaboration.

The Bahraini Chief of Staff commended the role of Pakistan’s National Aerospace Science & Technology Park in driving innovation and developing advanced local capabilities. As part of his visit, Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi toured the National ISR & Integrated Air Operations Centre and the PAF Cyber Command, where he was briefed on the operational strengths of the Pakistan Air Force.

The visit and discussions between the senior military leaders underscore both countries’ dedication to reinforcing their military partnership and building stronger bilateral relations through collaboration and mutual support.
