KSrelief Distributes Emergency Aid to Flood Victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has launched an emergency relief operation to support families hit hardest by the recent floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The initiative aims to deliver urgent assistance to those most affected, covering districts such as Buner, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Dir Upper, Dir Lower, Swabi, and other impacted regions.

To address the immediate needs of flood victims, KSrelief has allocated 10,000 Shelter Non-Food Item (NFI) Kits and 10,000 Food Packages. Each Shelter Kit provides essential items, including a tent, solar panels with LED lights, two thermal blankets, plastic mats, kitchen sets, water coolers, and antibacterial soap, to help families cope with displacement and loss. Meanwhile, the Food Packages—each weighing 95 kilograms—contain wheat flour, sugar, lentils, and cooking oil, ensuring that families receive necessary nutrition during this crisis.

The relief distribution is being coordinated closely with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rescue, Relief & Settlements Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, relevant local authorities, and KSrelief’s on-ground partners, Hayat Foundation and the Peace and Development Organization. This coordinated effort aims to ensure that essential aid reaches vulnerable communities efficiently and transparently.

KSrelief’s response underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong commitment to supporting the people of Pakistan during times of natural disaster by providing immediate and practical humanitarian assistance.
