IWMB Native Tree Plantation with Community at Margalla Hills

The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB), in partnership with the Institute of Rural Management (IRM) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA), has organized a plantation drive of native trees at Trail 7 in Margalla Hills National Park. The campaign, titled “Aik Beti, Aik Shajar” (One Daughter, One Tree), aims to honor the importance of daughters while fostering environmental sustainability.
During the event, members of civil society collaborated with IWMB and its partners to plant trees native to the region, supporting both ecological balance and the preservation of local biodiversity. The initiative highlights the significance of community involvement in conservation efforts and encourages broader participation in building a greener future.
Organizers expressed their gratitude to all individuals and organizations who contributed to this meaningful cause, emphasizing the positive impact of collective action in promoting environmental awareness and social values.
