On September 24, 2025 the Department of Mathematics at Rawalpindi Women University hosted a seminar titled “Understanding Linear Equations and Linear Operators”. The session was delivered by Dr. Maliha Rashid, Assistant Professor at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, who guided students through foundational concepts and the historical development of the field.
Dr. Rashid highlighted how Linear Equations and linear operators form the backbone of methods used to solve problems across science, engineering and data science, illustrating how abstract ideas map to real-world applications.
The talk stressed the practical importance of the subject for emerging research and industry needs in Pakistan, motivating students to connect classroom theory with hands-on projects and further study in linear algebra and data science.
