Strengthening Child Rights Through Federal Coordination

The Chairperson of the National Commission on the Rights of the Child welcomed the newly appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Human Rights with congratulations and an invitation to engage closely with the NCRC’s work to protect children across Pakistan.

During their meeting the Chairperson provided a detailed briefing on the NCRC’s mandate, core functions, and recent achievements, alongside ongoing initiatives designed to promote and safeguard child rights. The conversation highlighted practical measures the commission has taken and areas where collaboration can enhance impact.

Both officials focused on strengthening institutional coordination between the NCRC and the Ministry of Human Rights, with particular emphasis on boosting policy advocacy and bridging federal and provincial efforts. They discussed the need for cohesive strategies to ensure effective implementation of child protection mechanisms and to translate policy commitments into results on the ground.

Reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing the child rights agenda, the Chairperson and the Secretary agreed to maintain regular engagement and joint action to build a safer, more inclusive and rights-based environment for every child in Pakistan.
