Pasban Watan Begins Nationwide Political Drive
The Election Commission of Pakistan has completed the registration of Pasban Watan, enabling the group to operate as a political party across the country under the national constitution and laws. With formal recognition secured, Pasban Watan plans to launch political activities focused on resolving fundamental challenges facing citizens.
Tahir Khokhar, president of Pasban Watan, told reporters that the party aims to become a source of hope for a disillusioned public. He emphasized that Pasban Watan will pursue practical solutions rather than rhetoric, and that the party’s team has identified core issues that have trapped the nation and its people in a cycle of hardship.
Nabi Shah, secretary general, responded to questions from journalists by saying that the parliamentary model has left many ordinary Pakistanis frustrated. He argued that change should target institutional structures rather than personalities and outlined Pasban Watan’s proposal for a workable presidential system designed to empower the common citizen and limit the concentration of power with wealthy interests.
Attaullah Mengal, speaking as Quetta city president and finance secretary, drew attention to the pressing deprivations in Balochistan and described the local problems that demand immediate action. He said Pasban Watan will spotlight regional grievances while working to remove barriers to development nationwide.
Leadership reiterated that Pasban Watan’s priority is to address the country’s basic problems through concrete work on the ground. With Election Commission registration now complete, Pasban Watan intends to mobilize efforts across provinces to tackle systemic issues, promote development, and restore public confidence in politics.
