Uniting Deaf Cricket Nations in UAE 2026

The Deaf International Cricket Council has confirmed the DICC Cricket World Cup 2026 will be staged in the United Arab Emirates from October 24 to 31, 2026, bringing together top deaf cricketers from around the world to compete and celebrate the spirit of the game.

Deaf Cricket will be showcased on an international platform in a country renowned for its world-class cricketing infrastructure and strong support for the sport. The DICC expressed deep gratitude to the ICC Chairman and management for their support and encouragement, which the council says has been vital to advancing opportunities for players with hearing loss.

Pakistan’s Muhammad Zahir Uddin Babar, Chief Executive Officer of the DICC, described the World Cup as a celebration of ability, unity and the universal language of sport and said hosting the event in the UAE opens an exciting chapter for Deaf Cricket worldwide. The DICC reiterated its commitment to promoting inclusivity and excellence across member nations.

The tournament field will feature six top teams placed into three groups, with the official list of participating teams to be announced by the end of next month. To ensure smooth organisation, the DICC will establish multiple committees to oversee competition logistics, operations and coordination with local partners.

The DICC invites member federations, sponsors, media partners and supporters to join efforts to make the World Cup a memorable showcase of deaf cricketing talent and potential, and to help elevate the sport across Pakistan and beyond.
