Uniting Artists at Jacaranda Gallery

A vibrant art and handicrafts exhibition at the Jacaranda Gallery in Islamabad drew large crowds as senior and emerging artists shared a platform for the first time. The show presented a diverse collection of paintings and crafts that impressed visitors with thematic richness, bold colour palettes and strong creative vision.

Visitors were particularly captivated by the work of Begum Brigadier Javed Ashraf, whose paintings married traditional concepts with contemporary expression. The artworks explored themes ranging from cultural heritage and daily life to femininity, nature, emotional expression and pressing social issues, with each piece reflecting the personal vision and stylistic signature of its creator. The variety on display underscored the breadth of contemporary practice within Pakistan.

Families, students, teachers and art enthusiasts engaged directly with artists inside the gallery, creating a lively atmosphere of conversation and exchange.
