Empowering Educators at IBCC Workshop
The Inter Boards Coordination Commission concluded a two-day National Consolidation Workshop at Allama Iqbal Open University to strengthen assessment capacity by training master trainers and item writers from across Pakistan. The IBCC workshop focused on modern item-development practices and practical use of digital assessment platforms.
The closing ceremony was attended by Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, and was received by Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director of IBCC. The event was held under the strategic guidance and institutional support of the Federal Education Ministry as part of a broader push to modernize examinations nationwide.
Dr. Mallah highlighted the importance of preparing highly qualified educators who will cascade their new skills to institutions and professional networks. He underlined IBCC’s leadership role in standardizing item-writing methods and accelerating the shift toward intelligent, automated paper-generation systems so exam preparation becomes more efficient, transparent, and reliable.
Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz Akbar commended IBCC’s sustained efforts to empower teachers and align assessment reforms with contemporary education standards. Emphasizing that teachers are central to national progress, she reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to reforms rooted in teacher development and standardized assessments.
As part of the ceremony, Farah Naz Akbar presented shields to distinguished master trainers while participation certificates were given to all attendees.
