Students Explore Parliament on Senate Study Visit

On 23 December 2025 a delegation of MBA students from Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University made a Senate study visit to Parliament House in Islamabad. The group was welcomed on arrival by officials from the Senate Secretariat and began a programme of guided learning tailored to students interested in public affairs and governance.

During the Senate study visit the delegation toured the Senate Museum where they received detailed briefings on the history of Pakistan’s parliament, the stages of lawmaking, and the Senate’s role within the constitutional framework. Presenters outlined the institutional responsibilities that underpin legislative work and civic oversight.

The students were also taken through Gali-e-Dastoor where guides explained the constitutional evolution of Pakistan and highlighted landmark laws and moments in the country’s legal history. A visit to the Senate Hall followed, offering first-hand insight into the chamber’s working procedures and longstanding parliamentary traditions.

Participants described the visit as an informative and useful educational experience, expressing appreciation to the Senate Secretariat for the guidance and resources provided. The delegation said the interaction strengthened their understanding of legislative processes and the practical responsibilities of parliamentarians.
