FGEHA Launches Development in Sectors F-14 F-15

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority has formally launched development work in Islamabad’s Sectors F-14 and F-15, marking a renewed push to complete the long-delayed housing project. Under the agreement, the National Logistics Corporation will execute and complete the development works across roughly 11,000 residential plots spread over 10,875 kanals at a prime Islamabad site, reinforcing momentum behind this FGEHA development.

At the project site ceremony, Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada unveiled a commemorative plaque and took part in a tree planting alongside Secretary Housing and Works Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Mehmood, MNA Anjum Aqeel, and Malik Ibrar Ahmed. Officials highlighted the significance of restarting construction after years of delays.

The sectors were originally launched in 2015 but stalled amid administrative and legal challenges. Project stakeholders say sustained efforts have overcome many hurdles and that active construction will now move forward under the NLC contract, aiming to restore confidence among landowners and allottees.

The Federal Minister expressed satisfaction that FGEHA development is back on track and assured that fair compensation will be provided where applicable. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, to fulfill promises and ensure transparent, efficient, and timely completion of the works, and he commended the FGEHA legal team for resolving legal issues. Allottees were urged to make timely installment payments to help speed delivery.

DG FGEHA Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and Commander Engineer NLC Brigadier Muhammad Salman Malik addressed the gathering, while organisers said the Secretary assured that grievances of landowners, allottees, contractors and FGEHA would be addressed promptly to facilitate smooth project execution and accountability in the ongoing FGEHA development.
