Pakistan Advances Quadrilateral Talks for Peace

The high-level consultative meeting in Islamabad brought together Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Türkiye in a focused effort to ease tensions in the Middle East. Observers in the capital described the Quadrilateral talks as a constructive platform for dialogue and confidence-building among key regional actors.

Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, welcomed the meeting and said it reflects international trust in Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and balanced foreign policy. He highlighted that Pakistan’s participation in the Quadrilateral talks demonstrates a proactive and constructive approach to promoting regional peace and stability.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan reiterated its commitment to dialogue, restraint and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Barrister Danyal emphasized that de-escalation and sustained engagement remain essential for durable stability in the region and that the Quadrilateral talks are an important step in that direction.

Pakistan signalled it will continue to play a positive, facilitative role in supporting efforts aimed at achieving enduring peace in the Middle East, underscoring the capital’s readiness to host and contribute to diplomatic initiatives that advance regional harmony.
